Ubisoft has struck a deal to create a game based on the Avatar universe.

Confirmation has come through an official partnership with Fox Interactive and Lightstorm Entertainment (the studios behind Avatar’s creation), and to mark the start of this ambitious project Ubisoft has released an inspiring trailer that includes the director of Avatar and its upcoming sequels, James Cameron.

Since Avatar’s 2009 release, James Cameron has been busy making progress to produce a further 4 movies and production is scheduled to start soon. This video game partnership will take advantage of Cameron’s upcoming multi-movie deal, expanding over the course of each movie’s release.

The game will be handled by the same team who developed Tom Clancy’s The Division.
