Warner Bros. Entertainment have dated the first major piece of DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight, keeping to their promise of regular content over a six month period.

Batgirl: A Matter of Family is due out first to season pass holders on July 14th, whereas everyone else can download the add-on separately on July 21st for £5.79 (how do they make up these odd prices?).

Not much is known about the new story content, but it’s been confirmed that you get to play as Batgirl before the events of Arkham Asylum in an all-new location. It’s also beefed up with “multiple missions, side quests and secrets” as well as a new hacking feature and Dual Play functionality with Robin.

You can read about our guess as to how the DLC will unfold, with a suspicion that it might feature Mark Hamill’s Joker and lead on to the end of Barbara Gordon’s crime fighting career.

Surprisingly, Rocksteady Studios haven’t developed this DLC, instead that privilege has gone to Arkham Origins’ developer, Warner Bros. Montréal. All future content has been confirmed to be in development at Rocksteady, however.
