It’s finally happening.

With Batgirl: A Matter of Family now available for Arkham Knight season pass holders, Warner Bros. Entertainment have provided details for a content pack due to hit in August.

Alongside a plethora of cool new character skins, including 1990s Catwoman and 1970s Batman, Rocksteady will also introduce the iconic Batman 1989 skin, as well as his signature Batmobile. The press release also mentions that there will be two race tracks available inspired by the movie’s sequel, Batman Returns.

Whilst the information says “Battle through the streets of Gotham City with this pack”, I’m not too sure how the team will adapt the car to work within Gotham City, especially since the 1989 car doesn’t have a winch or any major canons. Maybe the vehicle will only be playable in race courses?

It’s an awesome move to finally see the Batman movies make their mark in the Arkham series. Hopefully this is the start of many more, and who knows, perhaps we’ll even get the Batman v Superman suit and Batmobile?

Fingers crossed.
