When I saw Insomniac Games perform a magical remaster of Ratchet & Clank for PlayStation 4, I began to dream about what might be possible if Sony’s long-lost mascot, Crash Bandicoot, received the same treatment.

Fans never thought it would be possible, but through a little deal between Sony and Activision – the company who own the rights to Crash – those eager for his return can breath a sigh of relief.

During Sony’s E3 press conference it was announced that Crash Bandicoot 1, 2 and 3 are being remastered and built from the ground up for PlayStation 4.

Firstly, however, the Bandicoot will make an appearance in the upcoming Skylanders game. I’m not a huge player of the series, but at least it means a cool figurine to sit on your shelf.

I couldn’t be happier that the original Crash games from my childhood are making a return. Dreams really do come true.
