It’s been rumoured, but Ubisoft have officially confirmed Far Cry 4 for release later this year.

With the critical acclaim of Far Cry 3 a lot of people have been waiting to see what’ll come next. According to the press release, Far Cry 4 will be developed across a variety of studios and place players in Kyrat, “a breathtaking, perilous and wild region of the Himalayas struggling under the regime of a despotic self-appointed king.”

More details were mentioned, including the many items available to players, “Using a vast array of weapons, vehicles, and animals, players will write their own story across an exotic open-world landscape.”

But alongside confirming the existence of the game, Ubisoft also revealed a limited edition for those who pre-order, which contains “Hurk’s Redemption”, three action-packed single-player missions featuring the character from Far Cry 3’s DLC.

Far Cry 4 is due out on November 21st for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PS4.
