For those miffed at the lack of a dedicated mode to play as the most iconic villains or heroes of Star Wars in the upcoming Battlefront game, you can finally rest easy. The passionate developers at Dice have revealed a new multiplayer mode in which you can do just that.

As described on a recent EA blog post, Heroes vs Villains will allow players to participate in, “short, intense rounds where iconic Star Wars characters will clash in dynamic fights.”

The mode will be present in a 6 v 6 basis, allowing three players from each team to control an iconic character, while the rest of the team spawn as either Rebels or Imperial troopers.

Anyone controlling a hero or villain will spawn as a regular trooper once defeated, with the main objective of wiping out all opposing heroes or villains.

Aside from Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker, fans will also take control of Princess Leia, Emperor Palpatine, Han Solo and Boba Fett.

Star Wars Battlefront releases on November 17th for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
