Hideo Kojima is considered one of the gaming industry’s most talented individuals, so when he took to the stage at Sony’s E3 press conference everyone knew to expect something magical.

After Kojima-san’s messy exit from publisher Konami, he didn’t hang around to figure out his next move. Shortly after his departure he formed his own studio, Kojima Productions, and signed a deal with Sony to create his first title exclusively for the PlayStation 4. Work on his mystery title has been rife with speculation, but no one expected a reveal this quickly.

It’s called “Death Stranding” and features the actor, Norman Reedus – best known for his work in The Walking Dead TV show. Reedus remained connected to Kojima even after the cancellation of Silent Hills; a game that would’ve seen him in the leading role. The trailer below demonstrates Hideo’s signature style and mind-boggling creativity.

Sit back, relax, and turn up your audio. Kojima is back with an almighty clap of thunder.

A naked Norman Reedus and a baby attached via a mechanical umbilical cord? Whatever Death Stranding brings, count me in.
