After experiencing sweat-inducing thrills with the first Outlast, its successor is slowly gearing up for release near the end of 2016 and I’m already getting ready for a mental breakdown.

Developer Red Barrels released the first in-game image, which showcases a suitably eerie atmosphere and the introduction of a woman. In terms of location Outlast 2 will leave behind the insane asylum found in the first title, instead heading to new brand new areas whilst continuing the story.

Not much is known about the game at this point, but rest assured that it will more than likely include support for PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive when it arrives. Sign me up!
