**Leeds store location has been updated

For most of us, online shopping outweighs a trip into town, but within the next week UK retail chain Dixons – Currys PC World – are partnering up with HTC to offer anybody a chance to try their prestigious virtual reality headset.

Currently only three locations are getting a permanent fixture, these include: Leeds (Birstall store), Tottenham Court Rd in London, and the Currys PC World Mega store next to Madjeski Stadium in Reading.

Demo rooms offer a unique opportunity to avoid disappointment before you buy, not to mention allowing the general public in on the excitement. There’s currently no plan for appointments to be booked, as showings of the Vive will be available on an adhoc basis.

The games that will be headlining these demo rooms are still TBC, though you can probably expect Google’s Tilt Brush and Job Simulator to be present. If you’ve already ordered from the HTC site, then take into consideration that cancelling and re-ordering through Currys PC World will remove any large shipment costs.

Stick tuned for more info and photos of my local demo room (Reading), as soon as it’s up. In the meantime call up your friends and family, because Vive will be worth a trip back onto the high street.
