I admit we’re a bit late to the show with this news, but the PlayStation VR finally has a price, and a date.

Arriving a little later than expected, PSVR will launch in October and cost £349.99. However, buyers beware, as the device requires the PlayStation 4 camera in order to operate. That’s about a £40 price hike if you don’t already own one.

I personally believe the camera to be an absolute bargain price for the VR experience, especially when you consider the Oculus Rift’s £600 price tag, and the HTC Vive’s wallet-busting £689.

At Start Replay we’ve yet to test the consumer-friendly version of the PSVR, though we look forward to doing so and reporting back with the results.

You can pre-order the device straight away from any major retailer – Amazon, GAME etc. – though stock allocation is running out very quickly.

We want to know if you’re planning on joining VR, as well as whether the PlayStation’s competitive price seals the deal for you?

do you also think getting the playstation move controllers with the PS VR are a good move too as you also need those to play the VR headset..thats another £50-60 each…oh wait you haven’t mentioned that in your article…

It’s not absolutely necessary to have Move controllers with the PSVR. You can also use the DualShock 4 controller with some games.
