In a bid to broaden the appeal of its popular toy-to-life video game series, Activision has teamed up with Netflix to produce an animated Skylander TV show, named Skylanders Academy.

Launching its first season on October 28th, Skylanders Academy will follow the heroic adventures of its most popular characters, including Spyro the Dragon. Its show runner is Eric Rogers, one of the original writers on the hit American cartoon, Futurama.

You can catch the official trailer for the series below. If you have kids who already own the game, then prepare to keep them entertained with this seemingly charming series.

Skylanders Academy already has a second season planned for late 2017.
