After its initial unveiling during Sony’s E3 press conference, Square-Enix have now showcased the first gameplay footage from the next entry in the Hitman series.

Described as an ever-evolving experience, locations will span around the globe, and timed one-time contracts will appear. If a player fails to engage within the mission, or lets the target escape, they’ll be gone for good and won’t ever make a return.

Instead of a level-driven structure, Hitman will first lead digitally at launch and taper all of its content in a gradual release.

Each sandbox area you are given will allow you to experiment in a multitude of ways, with a focus on replaying each area for a different approach each time you enter the game. It’s not yet known how many areas will be provided in the beginning, but any content release thereafter will be absolutely free.

Hitman launches on December 8th 2015 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
