Back during the launch of PlayStation 4, there was a small yet significant puzzler by the name of Tiny Brains. It featured cute rodents, all of whom had been tragically experimented on and ended up gaining powers because of it.

Sad times.

Flash-forward to today and now Spearhead Games are ready to talk about their next major project, Stories: The Hidden Path.

As described by Co-Founder of Spearhead, Simon Darveau, Stories is “an action-RPG set in a vibrant universe filled with floating islands, majestic airships, and flamboyant magic.”

Well, judging from the trailer above, I’m already getting feels for it. The two main characters remind me of the Star Fox series, and I do love foxes.

Simon continues on his post through the EU PlayStation Blog, explaining that every choice you make in the game affects the storyline in real-time. Not only that, but the narrator (whom I suspect we hear in the trailer) adapts to your actions as well.

On first take it seems as though the studio are trying to encompass a lot of charm and humour (always a good match), hopefully telling a dynamic tale that will play different for everyone. I imagine the narrator is going to be breaking the fourth wall a lot, and I’ll probably be laughing alongside.

Stories: The Hidden Path is only scheduled for PlayStation 4 thus far, and judging by Tiny Brains will more than likely remain a console exclusive. No date has been given as of yet, but don’t expect this until mid-2016 at the very earliest.

What do you think of Spearhead Games’ next title? Psyched? Let down? WHY?!
